'Brady Bunch' Mom Florence Henderson Dies At 82

Florence Henderson, most prominently known for her role as Carol Brady on the 1970s sitcom The Brady Bunch, has died. She was 82.

According to the Associated Press, Henderson’s manager Kayla Pressman said the actress passed away surrounded by friends and family. Entertainment Tonight reported that she died from heart failure, surrounded by her four children.

Henderson’s career spanned six decades and included work in Broadway and film. However, it was her time on television and The Brady Bunch that many will remember her for. Although the show only aired from 1969 to 1974 it lived on in syndication for decades, cementing Henderson’s status as one of TV’s most beloved moms.

There were also spinoffs and reunion specials that included Carol Brady including: 1977’s The Brady Bunch Hour, 1981’s The Brady Brides and The Bradys in 1990. Henderson also joined the cast of the 1995 spoof The Brady Bunch Movie, playing Grandma Brady opposite Shelley Long as Carol.
