‘Narcos’ Heads to Mexico in New Trailer for Season 4

It seems like the gang from Narcos is about to shake things up a bit. After three seasons of carnage at the hands of the Colombian drug cartel, the team will now be heading to beautiful Mexico to relax, catch some sun, and drink a couple of ice cold Coronas… we’re just kidding of course. Over the weekend, Netflix released a short teaser trailer for the upcoming run of episodes and it’s safe to assume that the show will be as intense and brutal as it’s ever been.

While previous seasons focused on the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar and his Medellin cohorts, the forthcoming entry into the saga will centre around the ruthless Guadalajara cartel during their operations in the 1980’s. This brand new adventure will be officially branded as Narcos: Mexico, and be delivered as an anthology effort, much like other popular dramas of late — American Horror Story, True Detective, and Fargo fans can attest to this clever format.

Hollywood veterans Michael Pena and Diego Luna will serve as the series’ latest stars, playing DEA agent Kiki Camarena and cartel leader Félix Gallardo respectively. No word yet on whether or not the show’s other cast of characters will make an appearance, but here’s hoping this upcoming batch lives up to its ever building hype.
