Spend this Valentine's Day Watching Michael Bolton's Netflix Special

Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year—not exactly ideal if you’re a 9-to-5’er. Luckily, Netflix and Michael Bolton got together to give us all a little something different. Whether you’re single, in a relationship, or something in between, consider staying in to watch Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special.

The basic synopsis goes something like this: After Santa’s elves make too many toys for Christmas, Michael Bolton must star in a Valentine’s Day special to encourage couples to make love and conceive 75,000 new children. The special is partly written and produced by Akiva Schaffer (one-third of The Lonely Island), so you know it’s going to be ridiculous.

There are countless celebrity guest stars including Brooke Shields, Adam Scott, Sarah Silverman, Bob Saget, Janeane Garofalo and of course, a number of Saturday Night Live alum. The format is a full-on variety show, so you can expect to hear some of Bolton’s 90s era romantic hits like “When a Man Loves a Woman” and “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You”.

Let’s face it, you probably won’t be able to get a reservation at a decent restaurant at this point anyway. So pick up a bottle of wine, order take out and put on Netflix instead. The special is only 54 minutes long, so you can always go back to binge-watching all the Marvel series’ after. Check out the trailer below:
