After a handful of mysterious teases flooded social media last week, it’s now been revealed that JAY-Z is prepping a brand new studio album. The project has been given the ambiguous title of 4:44, and will be the king of New York hip-hop’s first project since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail.

Not much is known about the fresh piece of work, but rumours indicate that it will be executive produced by legendary DJ, No I.D., who recently was named vice president of Capitol Music Group. That name has a plethora of fans excited about the potential output, given that No I.D. has left his mark on several generations of hip-hop talent. Most recently, his work can be heard on tape’s by Vince Staples, Kanye West, and TWENTY88.

4:44 was initially announced during game three of the NBA Finals, and came armed with scattered posters and a cinematic commercial featuring Oscar-winning actor, Mahershala Ali. Today’s brand new teaser keeps in the same cinematic theme of its predecessor, and maintains a classic black & white aesthetic.

Judging from the aforementioned press, it appears that 4:44 will release in partnership with American telecommunications giant, Sprint, and will have a home on JAY-Z’s Tidal streaming service. The new album will release on June 30, and you can check out the slick and filmic trailer below via Tidal’s Twitter account.
