Above: 10 of our favourite "special guests" that have made an appearance during the North American leg of Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour

If you’re a fan of Taylor Swift, or know someone who is, chances are you probably know that the “special guests” at each of her concerts are kind of a big deal. Through her current 1989 World Tour, Swift has brought out a wide variety of special guests, including: fellow musicians, actors, athletes, and models. The special guests have become a Swift staple that fans look forward to with each stop on her 1989 tour

So now that the North American leg of Swift’s sprawling 1989 World Tour has wrapped up, here’s a look back at 10 favourite guests Swift has brought on stage… so far.

1. Steven Tyler

Swift invited Steven Tyler on stage to sing the classic Aerosmith song “I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” on September 25 in Nashville, Texas.

2. Justin Timberlake

Swift played five sold out shows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and she brought out guests for each of her shows there. On August 26 she brought Justin Timberlake out on stage to sing his hit 2013 song “Mirrors.”

3. Lisa Kudrow (as Phoebe Buffay)

Her guests aren’t exclusively musicians either. At the same August 26 concert, Swift brought out Lisa Kudrow (AKA Phoebe Buffay from Friends) for a rendition of “Smelly Cat”. Earlier that week Swift brought out Kudrow’s old co-star Matt LeBlanc, hinting that she’s probably been binge-watching Friends on Netflix just like the rest of us.

4. Mick Jagger

Taylor brought out Mick Jagger at her September 26 show in Nashville, Tennessee. The two performed the Rolling Stones 1965 classic “Satisfaction.”

5. Lorde

Since Lorde is a member of Taylor’s coveted “squad”, she was bound to show up at one of the stops on the tour. Swift gave a major shout-out to her friend on Twitter thanking her for flying in from New Zealand to sing “Royals” in Washington D.C on July 13.

6. The Weeknd

Swift brought The Weeknd out on stage in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 10. The two sang “Can’t Feel My Face” before Swift brought out a few more special guests that evening. Including…

The Orange is the new Black actress appeared on stage to sing with Swift at the August 22 concert in Los Angeles.

9. Ellen Degeneres

Over the years Swift has made several memorable appearances on The Ellen Degeneres Show. As any true friend would, Degeneres showed up to the August 24 show at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles to strut down the catwalk to Swift’s hit “Style” wearing a sparkly leotard.
