Time For Taylor Swift To Get Her Revenge On Kanye West

The MTV VMAs take place Sunday night in Los Angeles and during the event, Kanye West will be presented with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, a kind of life-time achievement award that MTV said the rapper deserves because “Throughout his career, West has blended musical and visual artistry to powerful effect. From his trilogy of videos for “Jesus Walks,” to the mind-bending animation of “Heartless,” to the arresting imagery of “Bound 2,” he’s pushed boundaries and delivered something new with every successive video.”

It’s hard to deny that West has made an indelible impact on the music industry since his arrival, first as a producer and as an artist himself since the release of his outstanding debut, The College Dropout, in 2004. Of course, Kanye has also had some moments that have stood out in the public eye for other reasons, including his comments during the Hurricane Katrina telethon.

Perhaps the one people remember the most, however is this moment from the 2009 MTV VMAs:

It just so happens that Ms. Swift is in the middle of a series of concerts in Los Angeles right now and you can’t tell me that it wouldn’t be absolutely amazing if she used this opportunity to jokingly return the favour to Kanye.

I can picture it now – a big montage celebrating his accomplishments, Kanye strolls on stage, dressed to the nines, sunglasses on and just as he gets handed the statue – BA-BAM! T-Swift bumrushes the stage and interrupts him, dropping an “I’mma let you finish, but…” of her own.

The place would go nuts. The internet would explode. Kanye wouldn’t know what to do. It would be glorious. This has to happen.
