Here Are The Top 50 Wikipedia Searches Of 2017

It’s that time of the year again: Wikipedia has once again revealed what we were looking up throughout the past 12 months. The online encyclopedia shared their list of the top 50 searches of 2017, which gives some pretty interesting insight to what caught our attention last year.

Topping the 2017 list is…. “Deaths in 2017” with 37,387,010 views. Interestingly, that search result peaked on November 20 following Charles Manson’s death (BTW, he makes an appearance on the list at 34). Donald Trump takes second place with 29,644,764 views. Trump’s search result peaked on January 20 after his presidential inauguration. Rounding out the top five is Queen Elizabeth II who received 19,290,956 views (she peaked when Netflix dropped the second season of The Crown), Game of Thrones Season 7 (18,792,746 views) and actress Meghan Markle (16,944,130 views), who is set to marry Prince Harry later this year.

Other highlights from the list include: Bitcoin, Gal Gadot, Pablo Escobar, 13 Reasons Why and some of the biggest movies of the year like the It movie, Star Wars, and superhero films from Marvel and DC.
