The good folks over at Nike are always on the ball, and their most recent drop is proving this very sentiment. Summer is right around the corner and the American athletic brand is hoping to prepare runners for the impending heatwave. Armed with their revolutionary flyknit design, Nike is promptly delivering the goods this month and blessing us with a sleek and breathable new sneaker. Dubbed the Free Run Motion Flyknit 2017, the fresh shoe is outfitted with a sock-like collar and a vented mesh body. The new piece will arrive in a crisp grey and white colourway and is a remodeling of last year’s Free RN Motion Flyknit. In place of traditional lacing, the 2017 edition features black straps that wrap around the flexible frame, which makes slipping the shoe on an absolute breeze.
The Flyknit’s swoosh branding is nice and subtle on this year’s model, further transitioning the runner into a casual lifestyle piece. The Free Sole itself comes with some pedigree and has been continuously perfected upon since debuting in 2004. The sole has become known as one of the more comfortable and classic Nike models on the market, and that’s a pretty considerable feat given the company’s vast collection. The Free Motion Flyknit blends this heritage with modern innovation to result in a must-own for the athletic sneakerhead. You can cop the shoe this week at Titolo or Nike’s webstore, but you’re going to have to act fast because the resellers will be vicious with this one.
