Reebok and Future Team Up for “Freebandz” Zoku Runner

American sportswear giant, Reebok, has steadily built a roster of hip-hop’s coolest players. It’s a bit of a no-brainer too, when the company’s main competitors have all invested in the genre’s pool of celebrity influencers. Reebok’s first major step was securing a Kendrick Lamar endorsement, which produced a number of slick new kicks. The Compton rapper immediately brought a signature fair to the brand and delivered the popular “Red and Blue” line. Reebok wasn’t planning to stop there at all, and promptly set their sights on another hip-hop superstar. In the summer of 2016, the brand upped their street cred even further by snagging Atlanta’s billboard juggernaut, Future.

The HNDRIXX rapper made his Reebok debut with a limited edition capsule followed by a unique take on the Instapump Fury. Both were unabashedly Future, and all exemplified the emcee’s classic swagger. The two are partnering up yet again this month, and dropping a more traditional athletic shoe. Tomorrow, you’ll be able to cop the “Freebandz” Zoku Runner. It’s a clean, black and white piece that’s armed with breathable mesh and a sock-like fit. The creps will be available at select stores very soon. In the meantime, relive this epic commercial supporting the collaboration.
