BBM Chat Finally Ready For iPhones And Androids

BBM Chat is finally ready for iPhones and Androids

Blackberry says that its popular instant messaging service is finally available for Apple’s iPhone and Android devices, following a technical glitch that delayed the launch by about a month.

A company blog post said that Blackberry Messenger is now available for free on Apple, Google and select Samsung app stores.

In order to get set up with BBM Chat on your smart phone, you’ll need to line up for a spot by visiting BBM.com from your phone’s browser and enter your information. You’ll get an email when it’s your turn to download the app. If you have already signed up at bbm.com you should be able to start using the app immediately.

Last month, Blackberry paused the rollout of the popular app after an unreleased version of the Android app was posted online. Within hours about a million Android users downloaded the version, which the company soon pulled back.
