It’s been three years since Arrested Development‘s much-hyped fourth season hit Netflix. Of course, the excitement quickly dissipated once loyal fans sat down to actually watch it, but that didn’t stop viewers from wanting more. But, where exactly is the much discussed season five?

Once upon a time Ron Howard confirmed it would happen, and then last year producer Brian Grazer confirmed that we hadn’t seen the last of the beloved Bluth family. “We’re going to do another 17 episodes. So, stay tuned for Arrested Development,” he told Bill Simmons when he sat down with him on the B.S. Report podcast.

Still there’s been no official press release from Netflix — and now we possibly know why.

To make the fourth season happen, the episodes had to be shot on an awkward schedule that only required certain actors to be around at any given moment. So when the 15 episodes started streaming on Netflix, fans noted that there were very few scenes with the entire family in the location together. That is what the show is looking to change with season 5.

During a Facebook Live segment for Huffington Post, Veep actor Tony Hale (who plays Buster Bluth) stated that the producers are trying to get everyone in the same room for the new season and that’s what is holding up production.

“To be honest, I miss that, too,” Hale said on working with his co-stars. “I miss working across from Gob [Will Arnett] or working across from Lucille [Jessica Walter] or Tobias [David Cross].”

Hale did confirm that everyone is on board for another season. “I know for a fact that everyone wants to do it,” he said.

Walter, who plays Hale’s on-screen mother, suggested that she had seen scripts for the upcoming episodes after revealing a future plot development during an appearance on an EW panel at Comic-Con last July.

Enough to inspire a little chicken dance?
