As we continue to reminisce over the year that was, we can now get our first look at who will walk away with some hardware at this weekend’s Golden Globe Awards. Earlier today, the Hollywood Foreign Press revealed an extensive list of nominees for this year’s show and competition is looking pretty damn fierce.

Some of the notable names this time around include Christian Bale for his performance in Vice, Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhpasody, and Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga for their turns in the hit musical drama A Star is Born. Aside from those big names, there were also some welcome under the radar picks like Willem Dafoe in At Eternity’s Gate, Melissa McCarthy in Can You Ever Forgive Me? and Else Fisher in Bo Burnham’s directorial debut Eighth Grade.
