We’re just a few days away from the grand premiere of Wes Anderson’s highly anticipated film, Isle of Dogs. The upcoming animated adventure will be the celebrated writer-director’s ninth motion picture and second stop-motion production since the beloved and criminally underrated 2009 offering, Fantastic Mr. Fox. With Anderson’s impressive track record and handle of whimsical storylines and aesthetics, Isle of Dogs is shaping up to be one of the year’s most delightful cinematic experiences.

If this happens to be your first time hearing about the movie, here’s a little background. Set in a dystopian Japan, Isle of Dogs, tells the story of a boy named Atari who seeks out his canine best friend on a remote island that inhabits a bunch of dogs. Thanks to an infectious disease, the critters have been exiled to a watery enclave due to the Japanese government’s fear of spreading lethal viruses. Much like his previous entries, Anderson has recruited a rag tag group of established actors and actresses for the flick including Bryan Cranston, Greta Gerwig, Bill Murray, and Ed Norton.

To help celebrate the movie’s opening this weekend, Wes and Fox Searchlight have shared a fun behind-the-scenes video of production. The clips are animated and have been formatted to be 360 degrees. You can check out the awesome virtual reality feature below via YouTube and be sure to check out Isle of Dogs when it opens worldwide on March 23.
