Things Get Intense In the New Trailer for ‘T2: Trainspotting’

Above: The original cast returns in 'T2'

It’s been 20 years in the making, and now we’re finally getting our first proper glimpse at the Trainspotting sequel. Billed as T2, the flick takes inspiration from the Irvine Welsh novel, Porno, which picks up ten years after the story’s initial events. The film has found itself at the centre of rumours for the last two years, as talk of scripting and principal photography, made the rounds online. Now, after a short teaser, we’re being gifted with an extended look at T2: Trainspotting.

While it’s billed as T2, there doesn’t appear to be either a killer robot nor Arnold Schwarzenegger looming in the background. What looks to be included, however, is the high-paced action we’ve been accustomed to from the last adventure. It’ll be as busy and frenetic as the previous cult classic. The gritty aesthetic makes an obvious and grand return, with flickering lights and shots of a rowdy jail, all highlighting the new trailer.

All of your favourites return, including Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, and all of that name’s other variations, because obviously it’s incredibly popular in Scotland. The film debuts next year, with its wide release due out in February.
