We’re inching ever so close to the release of this year’s most anticipated blockbuster film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. On December 15th, fans of all ages will flock to their nearest theatre and take the second instalment in the epic science fiction trilogy. If you haven’t already reserved tickets for the film, we’ll give you a moment to do so now.

At this point, it should really go without saying that the forthcoming episode will be a worldwide phenomenon. Much like its predecessor’s overwhelming success, the new movie is set to shatter box office records, with experts currently projecting an insane $200 million total on opening weekend alone.

We’ve been waiting two years for a new (Skywalker-centric) Star Wars flick, but it still seems like the hype is coming to a fever pitch. Speculation regarding the fate of Rey, Kylo Ren, and Finn has been ramping up considerably these last few weeks thanks to a steady stream of teasers and set pictures. Despite this welcome fan service, much of the film’s plot (and its new cast of characters) has remained a well-kept secret leading up to The Last Jedi‘s debut next month.

Thankfully, the production team has granted us a few glimpses into the exciting new adventure, including a special behind-the-scenes featurette released this spring, and more recently, a sneak peek from Last Jedi writer-director, Rian Johnson. If that wasn’t already enough, Disney has uploaded even more new footage this week… and boy is it something else.

Entitled “Tempt” and “Back”, the two fresh teasers showcase the triumphant return of Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, and the Millennium Falcon. In addition to these comebacks, we’re also shown Rey struggle with the dark side (further hinting at a possible turn) as well as a vengeful Kylo Ren arming his starfighter.
