Nirvana, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year, the Rock Hall announced Tuesday.

Between them, the new inductees boast an impressive array of chart success and critical plaise. Gabriel, Hall and Oates and Ronstadt have all hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart. Ronstadt, Nirvana and KISS have each sold more than 20 million albums.

Artists are eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first release. Nirvana’s induction comes 20 years after frontman Kurt Cobain committed suicide at age 27.

Last year’s class of inductees included Rush, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, Donna Summer and Quincy Jones.

The 29th annual induction ceremony will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on April 10, and will be open to the public (as it has for recent ceremonies in Los Angeles and Cleveland). The event will air on HBO in May.
