Watch Pamela Anderson’s Banned TV Ad

A television commercial starring Pamela Anderson has been banned in the UK after the country’s Advertising Standards Authority banned the advert for being sexist and degrading to women.

In the spot for domain and web hosting company Dreamscape Networks, a male executive has a daydream featuring a half-naked Anderson and another model dancing and being slathered in cream. “Because of that, we considered the ad was likely to cause serious offense to some viewers on the basis that it was sexist and degrading to women,” the ASA said in its ruling.

For its part, the Web-hosting firm defended the 45-year-old former Baywatch beauty appearance, arguing it did not believe the ad objectified women because the “comical” and “over-the-top” fantasy sequence was limited to the one executive’s imagination.

Of course, the commercial has found its way online. Is Anderson’s ad too hot for TV? Judge for yourself here.
