The Best-Dressed Men Of The Week (September 12, 2014)

Above: Our weekly roundup of the best dressed gents on the red carpet

This week it’s all about TIFF. The 39th annual Toronto International Film Festival has literally taken over the city throughout the last week with Hollywood’s finest stepping out at fashionable events every single night. Here’s a look back at five gents that left a lasting impression throughout the last seven days.

Eddie Redmayne

The always dapper Eddie Redmayne hit the red carpet premiere of The Theory Of Everything at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Sunday night wearing a killer double-breasted suit from Burberry Prorsum’s upcoming spring 2014 collection. Redmayne complimented the in-your-face teal colour with a navy tie and pocket square and a pair of patent shoes. Basically, he’s the man.

Robert Downey Jr.

When Robert Downey Jr. stepped out with his wife Susan Downey to attend the Warner Bros. Pictures and Dolce & Gabbana TIFF cocktail party at Momofuku Daisho he was out to make a serious statement. I mean… you couldn’t help but notice him in this Dior Homme number. The actor stole the spotlight on the red carpet wearing Dior’s black suit with its lily-of-the-valley embroidery, once again proving men can wear floral prints.

Josh Lucas

Josh Lucas

Actor Josh Lucas looked seriously sharp when he hit the red carpet at Roy Thomson Hall for the TIFF premiere of Boychoir. Lucas suited up in a navy Salvatore Ferragamo two-button peak lapel suit, and paired it with a white button-down shirt, a navy pocket square and a pair of brown shoes. Classic.

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum arrived at the red carpet premiere of Foxcatcher earlier this week looking incredibly dapper in his traditional three-piece suit. Three-piece suits have kinda become Tatum’s thing as of late… and this striped grey one was pretty much perfect.

Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield (and his oh so bushy beard) hit the red carpet premiere of 99 Homes at the Princess of Wales Theatre in style. Check out how Garfield rocked a perfectly tailored Burberry three-piece charcoal suit with a traditional dark tie and pale grey button-down. As for the beard… Let’s hope it’s for an upcoming role.
