For seven years, Paco Rabannehas been pumping outsparkling, gold bricks filled with variations of his eponymous and intoxicatingly fresh and sensual blend, 1 Million for men. Each bar accompanied by a $ symbol, and, in the words of the designer: all have “managed to seduce people.”

1 Million Cologne EDT, the fifth and latest incarnation of the popular eau is no exception.

Like its predecessors, this lighter, friskier, fresher scent is inspired by the designer’s love affair with metallic fashion. It also retains the fragrance’s signature of mixing floral notes with patchouli and leather. But its enchanting blend of tart citrus, cool marine accord and spicy cardamom, replete with warm tonka bean is unique. While still notoriously charming, the Cologne is simpler and lighter in its wear with a more easy-going vibe. For the first time, the gold brick’s façade is crafted from clear glass too, allowing the golden liquid to shine through.

The face of the cologne has also shifted from Canada’s dice-throwing Mat Gordon to the male model of the moment, Sean O’Pry, who not only meshes with the Spanish brand’s James-Bondesque aesthetic perfectly, but also gives it a youthful, fresh appeal.

Paco Rabanne One Million Cologne EDT comes in 75 ml for $68 and 125 ml for $92 available at fine department and drug stores across Canada.
