Our favourite Canadian rapper will be rocking some extra cool threads this season. Calvin Klein has just announced that Drake will be wearing custom and runway pieces from the Calvin Klein Collection for his North American tour. The collection premiered at last night’s concert at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

Italo Zucchelli, the designer of the collection, sure knows a thing or two about dressing Hip Hop royalty. In the past he has dressed big names like: Kanye West, Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Tinie Tempah and Miguel. Adding Drake to that list seems like the perfect fit.

“I love Drake – he is very talented and I like his effortless attitude in terms of his style and music. It’s a perfect fit for me to work with him and I am very excited for him to wear my designs for his tour,” says Zucchelli.

The collection is a great combination of modern lines mixed with some urban flair. Or like kids like to say- full of swag. It features bomber jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, tanks and pants that are all designed to fit into three distinctive capsule collections.

The first incorporates a photographic print from Zucchelli’s Spring 2014 collection, mixed in with a cloud and sky print. This was partly inspired by Drake’s latest album cover Nothing was the Same which also includes a cloudy design. The second is all about modern contemporary designs, hi-tech fabrics, neon details and reflective accents. And finishing it off, the third collection is all about head-to-toe denim.

So if you’re one of the lucky few that will be hitting up one of Drake’s concerts, don’t forget to take in some great style. The next Canadian stop on his North American tour will be on November 28th at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena.
