Lands’ End is sailing into the Canadian market with an enhanced e-commerce presence. The classic American lifestyle brand launched its Canadian e-commerce website last week, which includes real time price conversion, synthesized taxes and duties and free shipping for orders over $50.

The seamless online shopping experience comes as the storied brand celebrates a milestone year: its 50th anniversary.

Lands’ End originally launched (with a misplaced apostrophe) in 1963 in Chicago as a mail-order business for yachting equipment. They soon evolved into a tried-and-true apparel and accessories brand offering men’s, women’s, kids’, outerwear and home decor. Of course, most Canadians will remember the brand from its mail-order catalogue or as a brand previously available through Sears.

Savvy shoppers will already be familiar with the unconditional return policy. Lands’ End immediately set itself apart in the industry when founder Gary Comer instituted the now famous return policy: “If you’re not satisfied with any item, simply return it to us at any time for an exchange or refund of its purchase price. Guaranteed. Period.” As a testament to the brand’s nature, Canadian customers are welcome to return any product, at any time, for an exchange or refund of its purchase price.

Wondering what to expect? This fall, shoppers can expect to find a variety of fresh prints and patterns throughout the entire collection of cozy cashmere pieces, cotton sweaters, colourful cords and chinos and footwear. All perfect for options for the great Canadian outdoors.
