Lacoste has named Novak Djokovic as its new brand ambassador. The signing follows the end of the Serbian tennis star’s five-year deal with Uniqlo.
Djokovic will act as a brand ambassador for Lacoste as part of a five-year contract and will appear in ad campaigns for the French clothing label, which was founded by René Lacoste and André Gillier. There will also be the release of a signature line — the clothing will include performance pique polo shirts and shorts and will be available this month at Lacoste retailers.
The Serbian player, who celebrates his 30th birthday earlier this week, is ranked number two in men’s singles tennis and has racked up 12 Grand Slam titles. He will debut the range at this year’s French Open in Paris, which kicks off on May 28.
