“We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds,” Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, the inspiration for this Devereux polo once said. Culled from a collection that takes its name from Onassis’ famous yacht, originally an anti-submarine frigate that served the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII before being reconditioned into a luxury vessel at extraordinary cost. Setting new heights in lavish amenities, Christina O featured a minotaur-themed mosaic tiled convertible swimming pool/dance floor. At the flick of a switch it drained and then rose to deck level when guests felt the need to cha ha.

The sophisticated to a tee look of the Aristotle polo is very much inspired by the waves of the Aegean Sea lapping up against a stately yacht’s hull. In the age of colour popping Devereux’s subdued tack is refreshing with a palette of brushed steel nautical navy, fleshy apricot and desert sage options that lend themselves to infinite pants-pairing possibilities.

The embroidered DV logo on the back of the collar resembles an RX logo and it’s an appropriate detail as Devereux offers the prescription to the safe and played out preppy threads many of their brethren consistently traffic in.
