Why We Love Her: Our WCW this week is the gorgeous and exotic actress, Rosario Dawson (she’s part black, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Irish, and Native American). Now try and wrap your around that mix of beauty! Her latest movie, Top Five, written and directed by Chris Rock, releases in theatres on December 12.

Dawson has been a very capable and intriguing actress since the late 90’s when she appeared in Spike Lee’s sports-drama, He Got Game (also starring NBA player Ray Allan and Denzel Washington).  Ever since she has strategically rotated between gritty independent roles and bigger blockbusters. Some of the notable movies she’s appeared in throughout her career are: Men in Black 2, Seven Pounds, Eagle Eye, Rent, Alexander, 10 Years, Sin City, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Trance, 25th Hour, A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, and soon to be, Top Five. Some of her career highlights were playing Gail in Sin City, starring opposite Will Smith in Seven Pounds, as well as playing Mimi Marquez in the film-adaptation of the musical Rent in 2005. She’s also a talented singer, singing for her role in Rent, as well as getting the opportunity to sing alongside Prince when she was just 20 years old.

Our WCW this week, Rosario Dawson, is an extremely gifted actress. She’s endured a very successful career over the past decade in Hollywood without flaunting her breasts on the Internet, or dating the big movie star (although she did used to date acclaimed film-director Danny Boyle). Now that alone speaks volumes about her talent and is a big reason why she takes this week’s spot.

You can catch her in her latest movie Top Five, in theatres December 12.
