The popular, free music streaming service Spotify, considered the largest music streaming service in the world, has finally launched in Canada to much acclaim. Music lovers in Canada can now listen to catalogues of music for free on their mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and TVs. Canada is the 58th market for the global leader in music streaming that currently boasts over 40 million active users, over 10 million paying subscribers to the premium service, and over 20 million songs to choose from.

Aside from being a streaming service, Spotify can be considered as a unique social network dedicated exclusively to enjoying music. You can share music on Spotify, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and via email, in addition to being able to follow other people (such as your favourite artists and celebrities) so you can discover music when others with similar taste do too. If you’re a fan of traditional streaming methods, you can also sit back and relax with Spotify Radio and let Spotify bring the music to you. There are also 1.5 billion playlists to choose from, so you can always enjoy the songs most suited to your individual taste. And if you know what songs you like and just want the freedom to listen, whenever and wherever you want, the free search and play utility is perfect for easy access to your favourite songs.

Premium users can enjoy their music ad-free in addition to gaining full access on mobile devices. Spotify is now available for download in Canada on all digital devices from: www.spotify.com/ca-en/.
