Grammy-winning artist Prince died Thursday morning at his Paisley Park compound in Chanhassen, Minnesota, leaving behind an impressive track list of hit songs and an indelible musical influence.

“The Glamorous Life” is the title track and closing song on Sheila E.’s 1984 debut solo album. Sheila E was Prince’s protégé of sorts, and “The Glamorous Life” (her biggest hit) was originally written and produced by Prince for his side project Apollonia 6.
