1913 To 2013: A Then And Now

A hundred years ago World War I hadn’t yet happened, but was about to. A hundred years ago “automobiles” were just hitting the market, most of them Ford Model T. A hundred years ago the present was a hazy future inside a cubist painting.

2013: Grand Central Terminal remains the largest rail station in the world by platforms. It is the world’s sixth most visited tourist attraction, visited by over 21,000,000 annually. Anderson Cooper, great-great-great grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt, wraps his show Anderson Live at Time Warner studios, just up Fifth Avenue from the station.
