Fans of the cult hit, Arrested Development, have longed for more seasons of the show ever since its abrupt cancellation in 2006. The beloved series was praised for its sharp wit, amazing characters, and a high ratio of laughs-per-minute. While it was certainly underappreciated during its run, many critics have since lamented Arrested Development, with many calling it one of the best television comedies of all time.

Netflix eventually swooped in and acquired the rights to produce a new season of Arrested Development, which the company launched on its streaming service in 2013. The relaunch was incredibly satisfying, but once viewers completed their binge of episodes, everyone wondered what was next for the show. The future of Arrested Development was once again in question, and with no concrete intel regarding a continuation, fans reverted to rewatching old seasons.

Earlier this week, The Wrap published an interview with Arrested Development producer, Brian Grazer. In the brief conversation, the EP shared new details about a potential season 5 of the show, and things sounded very promising. “I think we’re really close to pulling it off finally,” Grazer said. “All of the actors have agreed to do it and I think they’ve agreed to their compensation structure. That’s been the hardest–it’s all hard…But it should be happening soon.”

There has yet to be word about what “soon” means, but we can rest easy knowing that new episodes are finally in the works. Grazer also reiterated that Netflix is still very much invested in the show, and will be the home of the latest season. In the meantime, we can get excited by basking in the glory that is this chicken dance compilation.
