While the fall gaming schedule is always jam-packed, the upcoming launch of the PS4 and Xbox One means many great current-gen games will probably be lost in the shuffle. Most of these games can be found at bargain prices, and are sure to rank among the year’s absolute best.
BioShock: Infinite

BioShock Infinite’s eccentric, floating city takes centre stage in this gorgeous first-person shooter. As Booker DeWiit, your job is to infiltrate Columbia – a city where the American Dream has gone seriously wrong – and rescue kidnapped damsel Elizabeth. The twist? Elizabeth is anything but a damsel in distress, and together the two of you must escape this dystopian world using all the weapons and “Vigors” (super powers) you can harness. Simply put, this is a work of art as much as it is a deep, enjoyable video game, and one of this year’s greatest.
