Must-have: Dior HOMME Eau for Men
Price: $88 for a 100ml bottle

There comes a time in every man’s life when he must part ways with the cheap, adolescent fragrances of youth, and choose an elegant, signature scent that will carry him well into his third marriage. And while this task sounds both fun and easy, it is not. Your local department store is littered with hundreds of options, the majority of which you wouldn’t spritz on your worst enemy. So what then is one to do? Simple: Leave it to Christian Dior.

Dior HOMME Eau for Men, the latest fragrance from the Parisian fashion house, is a refreshing blend of citrus and spice, boasting top notes of Moroccan grapefruit, Calabrian bergamot and Crimean Coriander atop a woodsy Virginia Cedar base. The fragrance’s appeal, however, lies in it’s precious heart note, Tuscan iris, which pulls everything together, leaving you with a delightful, powdery finish.

While the fragrance mellows out nicely throughout the day, be warned that it goes on strong and has staying power. That said, we recommend only using a half spritz to attain a perfect balance.

At $88/100ml bottle, Dior HOMME Eau for Men is an extremely affordable alternative to the expensive boutique fragrances on the market, and quite honestly holds its own. A word of advice: Rock it soon. Dior has secured heartthrob Robert Pattison as the fragrance’s face and if their marketing works, which it generally does, there may be a lot of people wearing it. You’ll want to have been the first.
