Ford Crown Victoria ‘P71’ Police Interceptor (1998 – 2011)
Code-named ‘P71’, the Interceptor was the badass version of the (quite flaccid) civilian Crown Victoria sedan. Why you’d want one? It’s got a specially-tuned 4.6-litre, 250-horsepower V8 and a whole lot of heavy duty equipment to go with it, including heavy-duty transmission, radiator, and alternator, meaning you can burn off those rear tires all day. A P71 can be had for as low as $1,500, however a good-running condition one can go upwards of $3,000 – still not bad for what is, technically, a cheap muscle car.
