Photos and details regarding Google's new Pixel phone, have made their way onto the internet. Set to drop tomorrow, the new information was leaked accidentally by UK retailer, Carphone Warehouse. The smartphone is poised for a launch on Tuesday, and will act as one of its company's flagship hardware items.
The new Pixel model boasts a 5 inch screen, unlimited photo storage, and lightning quick battery charging. The move to heavily brand the item as a "Google Device", is no doubt a strategic move to posture the company against rival, Apple. The hardware itself really goes toe-to-toe with competitors on the market. The obvious and main advantage is the battery life of the Pixel. After Apple failed to deliver on the promises of longer battery life, users of the new iPhone 7 have been pretty public in venting their frustration. The Pixel will be also armed with Allo, a mobile messaging service which will provide "contextual info" along with an overall, enhanced platform.
The standard Pixel model will also have a larger counterpart, the Pixel XL. The bigger version will add on an extra half an inch. The devices will launch with 32GB of internal storage, and will likely utilize a cloud-based service as well. The official unveiling of the phone will go down via a Google event tomorrow.
