Kanye West ended his year with a string of questionable outbursts, a trip to the hospital, and a controversial thumbs up to America’s president-elect, Donald Trump. While life away from the stage has put the rapper in hot water, one thing that remains consistent, is his influence on streetwear and haute couture. After linking up with Adidas in 2015, the artist subsequently released the world’s most coveted sneaker, the Yeezy boost. The sought-after shoe drove a wave of people to Adidas stores around the world, where fans lined up for hours to snag their own pair. This trend continued after each iteration, eventually sparking an online resell boom. Fervour for Yeezys even put the black market to work, landing fake kicks on shelves and eventually in the hands of disappointed buyers.

At the beginning of July, it was revealed that Adidas was planning to expand Kanye branded wear. Kim Kardashian took to Snapchat a few months ago, and teased the upcoming Calabasas capsule – the first product of this extended partnership between her husband and the German athletic giant. Now and fittingly enough, Kanye has been spotted stepping out of his Calabasas office rocking a full outfit of unreleased garments. While the pullover and track pants are far from exciting, the most enticing piece in the photog shots are brand new Yeezy runners. The futuristic sneakers have a lot more going on than West’s previous and cleaner entries. Will these new shoes be another hot commodity? Judge for yourself by checking out the photo below.
