Here’s Our First Look at ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

After making a notable cameo appearance in Captain America: Civil War, fans have been clamouring to get their first look at a Spider-Man standalone film. It’s been no secret that a solo project has been in the works for quite some time now, as Sony Pictures and Marvel publicly reached an agreement that would allow the famous character to insert himself into the established superhero universe. It would be the first Spider-Man movie since Andrew Garfield’s critical dud hit theatres in 2014. Now known as Spider-Man: Homecoming, the flick appears to be avoiding a traditional origin story, but is positioning itself to still be a bit of an introductory adventure. We didn’t know a whole lot about the project, other than Tom Holland playing the lead role, but now we’re getting our first look at the film itself.

In a painfully brief teaser released earlier today, we see Peter Parker get called out for a struggle costume by Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan. The latter gives Spider-Man a gift from none other than Tony Stark himself, which makes the young hero kind of lose his mind. Other than this short scene, we thankfully get a peek at the suited up version of Spidey, who swings atop a building. You can watch the whole thing below, via YouTube. According to multiple reports, there will be more footage dropping tomorrow. Meanwhile, you can expect the entire movie, when it releases on July 7 of next year.
