Once again, it seems Matthew McConaughey and his “McConaissance” can do no wrong. Hot on the heels of his Oscar win for best actor in Dallas Buyers Club, Eclectic Method has turned his now-infamous chest thump from the movie into an up-tempo remix that’s making waves across the Internet.
The remix takes the chest thumping and “Kaw’ing”; performed by both McConaughey and DiCaprio in the award-winning flick as the back beat for the video that flashes images, scenes, and sounds from the actual movie. Creating a very base heavy, trance-like sound that even gets you to start thumping your own chest.
Apparently the chest thump wasn’t even written into the original script, but DiCpario saw McConaughey doing the behavior between takes to relax and told him he should add it into the scene. I guess all McConaughey’s bongo practice came into good use after all.
