Brandy Punch And Other Holidays Cocktails

It’s that time of year again – the holidays. And with it comes holiday entertaining. But no need to worry, we are here to help you. Throw together a great charcuterie board (or order one in) and make a few signature cocktails. And nothing is more traditional than a few brandy based cocktails. We’ve even included a Brandy Punch that you can make ahead of time and serve in a giant punch bowl. It’s really that easy.

Marquis is a signature French brandy that is perfect for holiday entertaining. On the nose, this toasty brandy presents aromas of baked apples and vanilla. While on the palate, it is balanced and smooth, offering a range of flavours from butterscotch to oak, pear, dark chocolate and even a hint of maple sugar. Doesn’t it just sound yummy for a cocktail to warm you over the holiday? This brandy is smooth and can be simply served on the rocks or neat. It’s great as an after meal ‘digestif’. But we love Marquis de Villard best mixed into some signature cocktails, so here are some of our favorites to get your through the holiday season.

CLUB COCKTAIL

Ingredients:
• 1.5oz Marquis de Villard VSOP
• .5 oz Maraschino liqueur
• .5 oz pineapple juice
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Directions:
1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all the ingredients.
2. Shake and strain into a chilled rocks glass.
3. Garnish with a lemon peel and strawberry.

MARQUIS WINTER BRANDY PUNCH

Ingredients:
• 1 cup Marquis de Villard VSOP
• 2 x 750ml bottles of red wine
• 1⁄4 cup orange liqueur
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 cup pomegranate juice

Directions:
1. In a punch bowl (or pitcher), combine all ingredients together.
2. Add sliced orange, apple, and one cup of mixed berries.
3. Add ice to chill.

THE METROPOLITAN

Ingredients:
• 1.5 oz. Marquis de Villard VSOP
• 1 oz. sweet vermouth
• 1⁄2 tsp. simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Directions:
1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all ingredients.
2. Shake and strain into a chilled rocks glass.
3. Add fresh ice.
