Perfect Smoothies At Home With The Hurricane Pro: We Tested It Out For You

The juicing trend is here to stay. It is the perfect way to stay healthy in our hectic lifestyles but many of us do not want to simply rely on our local juice houses to supply us with our daily dose. Enter commercial grade blenders designed for at home use; this market had been crowded by the high-end (and high-priced) brands like Vitamix and Blendtec. Not to be left out of the super blender category, Cuisinart has introduced a their most powerful blender yet, the Hurricane Pro.

We got to try out the new Hurricane Pro this past week and have to admit that it stood up well to the other guys’ blenders. The blender features a 6-prong stainless steel blade to support heavy-duty, commercial-level action, allowing you to create soups, sauces, and smoothies with great ease. The machine features BlendLogix Smart Technology, an exclusive feature that senses load and adjusts speed for even and uninterrupted blending, which means there is no need for a paddle to ensure everything gets blended in. The Hurricane features a 3.5 Peak Horsepower motor with turbo boost up to 30,000 RPM, allowing it to cut through those tougher vegetables likes kale and broccoli easily. Additionally, the unit has a variety of preset functions, settings and a memory feature. The Hurricane comes in at a very competitive price of only $599 (which is lower than all the competitors in this market).

That all sounds impressive but how did it test in the end? We were thoroughly impressed with the tests we ran it through – perfectly smooth smoothies no matter how tough and fibrous the ingredients we threw in to the blender. It also made great nut butter (peanut or almond) with ease. And for the home bartenders, it makes perfect ice based cocktails.

Final Verdict: We would definitely recommend the Hurricane Pro for those who want a commercial grade blender at home.
