BAPE & Anti Social Social Club Confirm Upcoming Collaboration

Above: The collaboration seems to be on the horizon

Two of hottest streetwear forces have announced a special upcoming collaboration, and hypebeasts are promptly losing their minds. Legendary Japanese brand BAPE teased a joint effort with rising American company Anti Social Social Club earlier today, by launching the first image from the forthcoming rollout. Details regarding the line remain relatively scarce, but fans online have already thrown money at their screens in the hours since confirmation. The possibility of the two giants linking up was previously teased during an Instagram Live session earlier in the year, but official word from either camp was nonexistent until now. Thankfully, all of this buildup can allow fans some time to prep for the pending releases which are sure to be incredibly coveted.

To amp everyone up this week, ASSC and BAPE unveiled a graphic with both logos plastered onto the latter’s iconic camouflage backdrop. It’s not a whole lot to work with, but it likely means the popular colourway will percolate into the capsule when it drops in the near future. If you may remember, we featured Neek Lurk’s latest endeavour Anti Social Social Club last year, and the brand has made even more strides in 2017. The label’s forward-thinking prints can be seen on everyone from Travis Scott to Kim Kardashian, who help to carry on the legacy of its creator’s former employer, Stussy. Meanwhile, BAPE has become one of the most recognizable and infamous streetwear brands since it launched back in 1993. You can catch Pharrell Williams, Pusha T, Kanye West, and more rocking the Bathing Ape. With both minds melding to drop a fresh new collab, we can expect a whole lot of fire to be cooked up in the next few months.
