
Montreal-based designers Eran Elfassy and Elisa Dahan brought the Mackage spring/summer 2015 collection to Toronto to close day three of World MasterCard Fashion Week. This coming spring the much-loved Canadian luxury brand will be offering guys slick motorcycle-inspired leather jackets, lightweight moto jackets, hooded bombers and plenty of trenches inspired by a bustling metropolis. Runway highlights include: athletic-inspired leather pants and shorts, a fitted leather button up shirt, a cobalt blue and black jacket with mesh detailing and a series of basic trenches with not so basic leather detailing.

Montreal-based label Soia & Kyo and creative director Ilan Elfassy returned to the Toronto runway on Thursday evening to present the label’s oh so versatile outerwear collection for spring 2015. Inspired by the fusion of environments, the polished collection of separates featured soft nature-based shades with the occasion pop of a bold cosmopolitan yellow. Runway highlights include: a lengthy yellow trench, and earthy suede and leather jackets.

Montreal designer Evik Asatoorian returned to the World MasterCard Fashion Week runway on day four to show off Rudsak’s cool spring/summer 2015 collection of outerwear. While last season focused on rebellious rock n’ roll looks, this season brought fashion watchers a collection of sporty androgynous looks. Of course, leather accessories continued to dominate with models walking the runway showing off a variety of cross-body bags, satchels and backpacks. Runway highlights include: mixed material hoodies and on-trend baseball varsities.

This is the third season (including an appearance in the 3rd annual Mercedes-Benz Start Up competition, held in 2013) that Toronto native Hussein Dhalla has brought his flashy menswear collection to Toronto’s runway. The big difference this season? HD Homme introduced more casual looks… well, casual for the refined gent who finds himself vacationing along the Côte d’Azur. Luxury-inspired line swimwear, shorts and loungewear complimented the label’s signature fashionisto suiting. Even if you’re not ready to make a bold statement, you can’t help but appreciate the extreme craftsmanship of Dhalla’s garments. Runway highlights include: a sporty black mesh jacket, a slim fitting cobalt blue suit and a slick grey blazer with black satin lapels.
