Pontiac G8 GXP (2008 – 2009)
While the exterior, chassis and suspension is purely Australian (the G8’s sister car is the Holden Commodore) its heart is good ol’ American muscle, thanks to a 6.2-litre V8 from the Corvette – good for 415 horsepower. Despite its size, the G8 is a taught sport sedan, rivalling known Germans such as the AMG Mercs and M-series BMW’s. Unfortunately, due to the G8’s limited production, GXP’s are harder to find – albeit, V6 GT models are more abundant, hovering around the $25K+ mark.
