Everything Apple Announced At The iPhone 7 Event

If there’s one thing we’ve come to learn about tech giant Apple, it’s that they know how to throw an event. Today’s press conference was no exception, as the company unveiled their newest batch of services and software, most notably of course, the iPhone 7. The event was chock-full of information, and featured guest appearances by design officers at Instagram, Nike, and even Sia, because why not?

The whole shebang started off with an introduction by James Corden, who led Tim Cook and ageless wonder, Pharrell Williams, through a mini episode of Carpool Karaoke. The significance? Apple is apparently partnering with the series for exclusive segments, likely powered by Apple Music. This tidbit was dropped within the first few minutes of the show. If you were unable to stream the presser, and have yet to dare the Twitterverse, we’ve jotted down the highlights. If you’re a fan of Apple products, prepare to hold onto your butts.

iOS 10

iOS 10 is launching on the 13th, and will be the largest overhaul the company has ever done. You can now lift your phone to wake it up, and Siri will now be incorporated into many different apps. Contextual prediction is also being implemented in the phone’s keypad, completing your sentences like some cool grammar robot. Maps has also been redesigned, and looks as sleek as ever. Apple Home Kit is a new system that helps to turn your abode into a smart house. New full screen effects in iMessage, come with fun little features, like fireworks and confetti.
