Famed fashion designers Thom Browne and Zac Posen have teamed up with fashion retailer Gilt.com to each customize a pair of 2014 Infiniti Q50s. Each designer was asked to reimagine the luxury-class sports sedan, and create a one-of-a-kind design that reflects their trademark design style.
The 2014 Infiniti Q50 features innovative technologies such as Direct Adaptive Steering, which provides a faster and more personalized response than conventional systems.
New York City-based menswear designer Thom Browne’s design features a sleek mirrored finish on the outside and his signature white, blue and red stripes on the inside. The exterior of red carpet darling Zack Posen’s car features an ombré effect, fading from silver in front to charcoal in back, and from matte to shine. Inside the car is wrapped in luxurious materials like velvet, shagreen and leather.
These one-of-a-kind custom-tailored Infiniti Q50s will be sold for $75,000 USD each, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity personally selected by both Mr. Browne and Mr. Posen. The two buyers of the luxury sports sedans will also each receive a $10,000 Gilt.com shopping credit, a style consultation at Gilt as well as a matching silver card case (Browne version) or a clutch (Posen version).
