Woman Crush Wednesday: Jessica Biel

Name: Jessica Biel (Timberlake)

Birthdate: March 3, 1982

Birthplace: Ely, Minnesota

Claim to fame: She first came to audience’s attention as a teenager when she starred as Mary Camden on the 7th Heaven, the longest-running family drama in television history.

Interesting Fact: Biel, a self-professed fitness fanatic, has climbed to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro before.

Best Quotes: “I might just be way too boring to ever be a really great actress.” — on how her being boring might be what has limited her acting career.

“I’ve never gotten to do romantic comedy like most of the girls. Maybe because I’m fit, people assume that I’m not funny?” — on her lack of romantic comedy offers.

Why We Love Her: I think just about every guy out there fell in love with Mary Camden when 7th Heaven was a thing. She was that rebellious preacher’s daughter in that very together family. Needless to say, Mary Camden was a babe and that’s when we all first fell in love with Jessica Biel.

Then came films like Summer Catch where Biel used her popularity from the family drama to transition into a film career. If you are a baseball fan the movie actually didn’t suck, and of course Biel was a knockout opposite then leading man-of-the-moment, Freddie Prinze Jr. Other roles came in such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade Trinity, Stealth, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry. In the latter there was a particular bedroom scene that had Adam Sandler and Kevin James pretending to be a homosexual couple while Biel paraded around in the most flattering booty shorts known to man.

Her biggest role of recent is probably her part in Total Recall in 2012. Lately she’s been more focused on being Mrs. Timberlake and mother to their newborn son Silas. And Biel will even tell you that her lack of edge might be one of the things that have prevented her from reaching the A-list, instead of just toiling around in B and C list action and comedy roles. But of course Timberlake raises her industry cred!

Regardless of Biel’s acting career, she’s every guy’s dream athletic girl — the type of girl who you would love to race up a mountain and have a sit-up contest with. She’s also coming out with her own series of online sex education videos for young girls. The videos are intended to be quirky, witty, and informative and educate women about their bodies. Well I definitely think that’s one of the most productive ways a new mother can spend her time on maternity leave.

Jessica Biel might be married to one of the biggest pop stars in the world, but she’ll always be much more than Mrs. Timberlake to us. No, she’ll always be Mary Camden to us.
