Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale has been a huge success, with the season finale airing just last week. It depicts a dystopian world where women are treated like nothing more than slaves required for reproduction. Many critics have pointed out that, although extreme, it is a version of the future that isn’t so far-fetched given the way the government insists on dictating what women can and can’t do with their own bodies.

The plots points are also ripe for a parody—and Funny or Die did not let that opportunity pass them by. Their video “They Finally Made a Handmaid’s Tale for Men” imagines a world where men are the ones stripped of their “basic human rights”. Those rights include being able to “call feminism an ugly girl thing”, “manspreading” and “say whatever they want about women’s tits”.

The video is clearly targeting the so-called “men’s rights activists” who coined the term “feminazi” and visit websites like 4chan and The Chive on a daily basis. “Better always means worse for some,” says one female character. “But usually that doesn’t apply to straight, white men,” responds a handman named Manfred.

Check out online communities like Red Pill or Return of Kings and you’ll find groups that actually believe a world of “handmen” could happen—all because women want to be treated equally. But hey, you have to have equality before you can strive for world domination, right? Equality is a slippery slope.
