SEASON 3: The Famous “Mangina”
One of the most sinister things you can ever do is peer pressure an alcoholic into a drink – their willpower is about as impenetrable as a child’s ability to withstand sugar. Good thing Hank Moody’s moral code is often a tangled mess, as he pressures Richard Bates into having a drink and falling off the wagon, leaving him to present to the dinner table how he can adeptly tuck up, bringing us the famous “mangina.” Clearly, this is one of the more impressive moments from the show.
SEASON 4: Rob Lowe as Eddie Nero
Rob Lowe was virtually unrecognizable in his reoccurring role as the wacko Eddie Nero. He played the Hollywood star that plays Hank Moody in the screen-adapted version of his novel,
F*cking and Punching. His character brought about some of the more delirious and hilarious moments the show ever had.

SEASON 4: The Dinner Stabbing
There are very few moments in
Californication that get out of hand as quickly as when the whole cast gets together for a meal. This particular scene from Season 4 is no different as the whole group fire back in their typical dirty banter, acting more the part of confused adolescents than actual adults. The moment hits fever pitch when Runkle takes one right to the knuckle, which erupts the dinner table in complete and utter chaos.

SEASON 4: The End Of Runkle’s Monkey Business
Our boy Charlie Runkle doesn’t disappoint with his usual antics in this great moment from Season 4. While at a possible investor’s house for their movie, Runkle gets trapped in a room with a woman… and a monkey. The monkey doesn’t seem to like him too much, which results in a feverish battle of monkey vs. man-baby. Runkle finally prevails when he slingshots the monkey right into the wall. The monkey-killer, Runkle, then goes into absolute hysterics. Charlie Runkle, oh how we love you.

SEASON 5: Runkle’s Tranny Fellatio
During Season 5’s ride-a-long with Samurai, Runkle was in for a very disturbing surprise when he reached into a woman’s (man’s) groin looking for something different than what he ended up finding. One deep voice and an unsuspecting Adam’s apple later, Runkle cries his way right to his orgasm and a very erotic homosexual moment.

SEASON 6: Hank the heartbreaker
If there is something that Hank Moody knows how to do better than most, that’s break hearts without even hardly trying. In this scene, he breaks up with her by saying that he sees them becoming very close in the future… as friends. The angry lady sitting across from him then goes off, “I gave you the butt, and I don’t give anyone the butt unless I see a future.” Hank then sits all coy as he pleasantly receives the “a**hole alcohol splash to the face”. I think it’s well deserved in this case. Way to go, Hank, way to go.

One season remains. It begins for the final time on Sunday. Will Hank finally piece himself together and become a respectable human and father? Or will his substance-abuse habits and inner-child suck him deeper into the dark hole he creates for himself. We’ll all have to tune in to find out. Hopefully there are some more outrageous moments that can come close to topping the ones listed above.
Cheers to you, Hank. You dirty, loveable scoundrel, you.
