The 3D printed ear. via arstechnica.com

2013: American scientists at Princeton and Johns Hopkins use a 3D printer to engineer a living human ear from collagen and animal ear cell cultures. The 3D map, modified for their use, is available on Thingiverse. The radio electronics of the ear make it fully functional, and the cartilage cells it is seeded with keep it independently alive and resilient. It is hoped similar ears can be applied in amputation cases.
