Boys Don't Cry: Recommended Albums If You Like Frank Ocean

It’s July, 2016. That means we haven’t heard new Frank Ocean music in four long years. That means it’s been 1460 days since the release of the incredible, Channel Orange. Even worse, we’ve had to suffer through months and months of hints at new music. Some of those teases have been coming from the man himself. We’ve received a few features, a terrific cover, but still, we're all waiting for the next one.

The release of Boys Don’t Cry is becoming more and more imminent, and in the meantime, we’re slowly driving ourselves insane. To help combat the drought, we’ve thrown together a few R&B projects that we love and strongly recommend. If you love Frank Ocean, give them all a listen. Together, we can get through this.

RIVER TIBER – INDIGO

Also hailing from Toronto, is River Tiber. Last month, Tiber put out the fantastic debut album, Indigo. The crooner has since garnered mainstream attention, with appearances on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show. Indigo is a piece of work that borrows heavily from both R&B and electronic palettes. Start with its great single, “Acid Test”, and see for yourselves. You’ll be hooked.
