Daniel Craig Is Returning As James Bond After All

Daniel Craig is ready to suit up an play James Bond in the film series’ next installment, according to new reports. The actor has reportedly “changed his mind” and is signing on for a fifth Bond movie, thanks in large part to franchise producer Barbara Broccoli.

Criag has starred in four Bond films—Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre—but speculation over the casting of the British spy has been rife ever since Craig told Time Out that he’d rather “slash [his] wrists than do another Bond movie.”

It turns out he was just kidding… or money talks.

Last fall, Craig was rumoured to have been offered $150 million to return to the role for two back-to-back installments, starting with Bond 25, which is expected to start shooting next year. While Craig’s final salary for this fifth movie is unknown, it does seem likely that it’s an highly agreeable number, given that Craig’s also said if he “did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.”

More good news for Bond fans: Craig may not be the only one to return – according to The Mirror, Broccoli is reportedly “determined” to bring back Adele to record the film’s theme. The singer previously sang the lead track for Skyfall, the most profitable Bond film to date. It was the first 007 theme to win both a Grammy and Golden Globe award.
