5 Men’s Fragrances For Fall 2015

Above: 5 of our favourite men's scents for fall 2015

Fall’s crisp, cool breeze—or steamy heat-wave temperatures, just depending on your geographical position—always put us in the mood for a little spritz. Our grooming expert Adriana Ermter puts her nose to test, selecting this season’s most fragrant offerings. Here are her top five picks:

Burberry, Brit Splash EDT

Refreshing and bright, this aquatic scent is bursting with the crisp smell of rosemary and oh-so-juicy notes of melon. Violet flowers, musky wood and a whole lot of water are swirled in to create an invigorating blend that feels just as hot as it does cool. It is available for $65 for 50 ml and $84 for 100 ml at Hudson’s Bay and Sephora stores across Canada.

Calvin Klein, Euphoria Essence Limited Edition EDT

This provocative eau de toilette has an ingredient list of notes that sound as rich as they smell. First, a juicy cocktail of bergamot and ivy is swirled into a heady mix of white pepper, jasmine flowers and creamy suede before being smothered with warm amber, guaaic wood and tonka bean. It is available for $100 for 200 ml at Hudson’s Bay stores across Canada.

Issey Miyake, Nuit d’Issey Austral Expedition Limited Edition EDT

This spicy elixir is all man. Like a tart margarita, it starts off slightly peppery and crisp, then eases into the mysterious wildflower gentian and a sharp, leather-like finale courtesy of warm amber wood and green vetiver. It is available for $100 for 125 ml at Hudson’s Bay and Sephora stores across Canada.

Jack Black, Blue Mark EDT

The first hit is fresh and sparkling, compliments of the eau’s zesty, herbal notes of watermint, cilantro and bergamot. An aromatic blend of Japanese juniper and aromatic ginger essence are mixed with warm and spicy patchouli and driftwood to provide a clean and elegant finish. It is available online for $80 for 100 ml at Jack Black.

Jean Paul Gautier, Ultra Male EDT Intense

The ultimate in sexual contradictions, the designer’s latest fragrance boasts fiery pear and tart lemon within the first sniff. Black lavender and spicy cinnamon are combined with heady flowers, black vanilla and warm amber, cedar and patchouli for a seductive finish. It is available for $83 for 50 ml and $108 for 100 ml at Shoppers Drug Mart, Sephora, Hudson’s Bay and Sears stores across Canada.
