Adidas Prepares for Autumn with Ultra Boost All Terrain

With milder weather finally on the horizon, you may want to start investing in some warmer footwear. The forecast may not be calling for snow anytime soon, but it’s going to get harder to keep your feet dry these next few months. Thankfully, you don’t have to immediately turn to clunky old boots thanks to a slew of weather-ready sneakers hitting shelves this September.

Earlier this month, we showcased new autumn-inspired gear from Puma. The Weeknd-approved athletic brand recently turned things up a notch by launching the Tsugi Koris: a new crep that boasts waterproof fabrics. Not to be left in the dust are Puma’s competitors, who are launching similarly designed shoes this fall. Adidas is one of these aforementioned brands, and the company has quickly upped the ante with their very own weather-ready sneakers.

Releasing next week is the winterized Ultra Boost All Terrain. The new shoe is a water-repellent version of the immensely popular Ultra Boost silhouette, which has dominated the streets these past two summers. This forthcoming update will keep it classic with Adidas Primeknit and a Boost midsole, but it will also shake things up with a Stretchweb outsole and a sturdy All Terrain LUX. The sock upper will also maximize warmth, while still providing enough flexibility for running and exercising.

Adidas Running representative, Stephan Schneider, says that the Ultra Boost All Terrain was carefully crafted with functionality in mind. “The autumnal weather can be unpredictable and as a result it took us longer than usual to develop these products,” Schneider said. “Extensive testing ensured that each design element offers protection and uncompromised comfort in any condition. We specifically focused on increasing the ankle height in order to protect and create a smoother movement from the leg into the foot with each stride.”

You can cop the All Terrains on September 21 at select retailers. You can also purchase the shoes on the brand’s official online store here. The Ultra Boost All Terrain will be available in dark burgundy, black, grey, beige and green.
